![]() ![]() I found Avadon less fun after a certain point because while I appreciated the storyline and how it's history advanced over it's 3 chapters, once you get far enough in you get herded along the main quest to the exclusion of doing anything else, and some of the quests made me feel morally compromised and I just really hate Redbeard. There's a lot more free-exploring and side quests in Avernum (especially A:EFTP and A3:RW, with their ginormous maps). ![]() Rich game system with over 50 spells and battle disciplines and a multitude of beneficial character traits to choose from.I like the Avernum games far more than the Avadon ones.Unique races and settings make Avernum different from any adventure out there.Dozens of side quests and hundreds of magical artifacts.
